Responsibly Sourced

We use only storm fall or responsibly sourced timber (ie timber which has had to be removed for other reasons) and can identify the origin of every piece of timber we use.

We also mill our timber ourselves, employing a 'roots and all' policy to utilise as much of the tree as possible.

Because of this, our pieces not only feature but often celebrate the various faults and figure inherent within the wood, as we believe they showcase the natural beauty of the timber, making each piece uniquely individual.

Jill Christie has been working with timber for over 20 years, crafting bespoke timber pieces direct to the public and to wholesale markets both Australia-wide and internationally. She has worked closely with artists such as acclaimed bronze sculptor Pete Smit, and pewtersmith Graeme Anthony. We are proud to have created her range of artisan-produced timber kitchenware, including mango wood chopping boards, carving boards and serving platters, salt & pepper mills, spice racks and coffee/tea accessories, for both the home and the hospitality industry. She also offers a variety of special occasion giftware and acoustic tuned wind chimes as well as ‘one-off’ timber pieces direct from the workshop, such as boxes, turned bowls.
